Hot Cocoa

Recently, second graders completed a project based on the folk art paintings of American folk artist Heather Galler from Alaska. Students created patterns for the background surfaces, chose patterned unique papers for their mugs, and completed the collage still-lifes with a bit of acrylic steam and glitter!

A New Children's Art History/Marine Science Book!

I am pleased to announce that this past fall, the third book in a series called "If Picasso..." was released. I have had the pleasure to have had an illustration included in each one of these books!  The latest is called "If Picasso Went to the Sea." My contribution was my rendering of how Botticelli would have painted a Beluga whale.  It was inspired by his "Birth of Venus" painting.
